My Teachers Birthday

Today it was my teachers birthday. People from my class got some presents for her. I was going to get her a  present but I forgot. Today we had chop swewie and we all had one cupcake each. Me and my friends asked how old she is and she said 21 but we all knew that it wasn't true so she told us that we have to guess. My guess is 28. I had a lovely morning and I can't wait until next year.

Esther Continues...

Today in C.R.E Mrs Clarke and Miss Huri came and they were dressed as characters in the story. After Mordecai finished ripping his clothes he told Queen Esther to beg to King Xerxes to change the law that Haman made. Queen Esther said to Mordecai that she might get killed if King Xerxes doesn't hold out his sceptre so she told him to pray for her.

Youth Town

Here is a story about what I did today. It was fun and boring. I hope you like it please leave me a comment.

 Today Room 13 and Room 14 went to Youth Town in the City. When we arrived at Youth Town we had to cross a really fast road so the bus driver told us to stay together. We took a photo then we went inside and a lady guided us to the activity room. We decided what we were going to do first so we went swimming and room 14 went printmaking, but the non-swimmers had to go inside the recreation room. We did all sorts of activities and we played around. My favourite bit was when we went inside the recreation room because we could play Pool, Table Tennis and we can make something that I don’t know about. I was really excited about going to Youth Town because I thought it was big but it wasn't and I thought that I was going to see my friend Adam.

Esther continues.....

Today in C.R.E we learned more about Esther and Mordecai. One day Mordecai heard two guards say "I hate King Xerxes lets kill him." Mordecai told Queen Esther and Queen Esther told King Xerxes. King Xerxes hanged the two guards.

 King Xerxes had a new Prime Minister and the Prime Ministers new rule was when ever he passed people they have to bow to him but Mordecai didn't so Haman (The new Prime Minister) made a law that can't be broken and that all Jewish people have to be killed. Mordecai was so distressed and was ripping his clothes.

We can make good or bad choices. When your in trouble, you can always pray to god. God loves us when we're good and bad but he doesn't want us to be bad forever.

Aladdin the first

This is the first part of the book Aladdin. I wrote it because my teacher told my class too and she told us to do that because this term we are focusing on life's a stage and Aladdin is a fairy tale so we put it on our blog.

Long ago there lived a boy called Aladdin who lived with his widowed mother in a small village in China. They were very poor and barely had anything to eat. Then one day a strange man came up to Aladdin and said “Aladdin finally. I am you're uncle. I am your father’s brother. My his soul rest in peace. Can you take me to your mother? Is she still alive?” Aladdin felt uncomfortable around him but he took him to his mother. Aladdin’s mother said to him “What did I tell you about talking to strangers?”

Aladdin and his uncle went to a cave in the desert but while they were there Aladdins uncle told him that he wasn’t his uncle and can be his worst nightmare if Aladdin doesn’t listen to him. The strange man needed help because he couldn’t fit inside the hole of the cave. When they got to the cave the man said to Aladdin “Go inside the cave and grab a lamp. You will know which one it is when you see it.” When Aladdin went down the hole he was astonished to find lots of riches and gold and all that strange man wanted was an old tatty lamp and rusty old lamp. He grabbed the lamp and he said “Pull me up.” “Give me the lamp first.” said the man.  “No” said Aladdin “Pull me up first.” “Fine” said the man “You don’t want to give me the lamp you can stay down there.” The man covered up the hole and Aladdin was unable to escape.

Esther

Today in C.R.E Mrs Clarke told us a story about Esther. Esther is a Jew and has a cousin called Mordecai who told her not to tell anyone that she is a Jew. King Xerxes vanished his old queen because she disobade him. He had a beauty contest and Esther was in and she won. We are learning to be and do the best that we can. We can do that by Listening to others, Helping others and always being organised. Here are some photo's for you to look at. I hope you like it please leave a comment. Basketball

This term my class has been playing basketball and here are some things that we did.


For the last five weeks my class has been going to basketball. In basketball we have learned Jump Stop, Defending, Pocket, Foul, Travelling, Shooting, Double Dribble, Bongos, Flick and Arm Guard but first we had to do a warmup. The warmup was line tiggy, Rob chose two people to be the taggers. The taggers had one ball each and started to tag us, if we were tagged then we became the taggers. Promise asked if we could throw the ball but the answer was no. On the next line tiggy who ever got tug they had to go and get a ball and they were in as well. 


If you don’t know how to play basketball or do any of the things above I'll tell you. If you want to Jump Stop you run then you stop, bend you're knees and you shoot the ball but if you already have the ball you just put you're hands up underneath you're chin and you pass the ball to someone. Pocket is when you put the ball by you're hips. A foul is when you touch someone's hand or arm. Travelling is when you dribble then you run with the ball in you're hands. Double Dribble is like Bongos. You have to bend you're knees and bounce the ball with two hands and Double Dribble in basketball is bad. Bongos are just bending and bouncing the ball with two hands but really fast. Arm Guard is when you pocket and bounce the ball and you're arm is up blocking people from getting the ball. Shooting was so fun but we had to do Pocket, Shoulder and Flick that was pretty boring. You can’t Defend by touching them because it will be a foul. 


Before we left we had this sort of competition and my team won. The competition was when you Jump Stop Dribble once and shoot in the hoop. I scored once and wanted to do it again and again. I love basketball now and I wish we can play it everyday.

Is it easy to say "Sorry"?

Today we learned about a story in the bible. It was about Onesimus, Paul and Philemon. Philemon was a rich man, Paul is a man who makes people follow in Jesus and Onesimus was Philemon's slave. Onesimus stole something from his master and ran all the way to Rome. That is where he met Paul who made him follow in Jesus.

Paul wrote a letter to Philemon so that he would forgive Onesimus. Paul told Onesimus to take the letter back to Philemon so he went all the way back to Collosae and went on his knees while Philemon was reading the letter and he begged to forgive him.

I think that it's hard to say sorry because they might not forgive you.
People can say "Sorry will you forgive me." and "Yes I do"

Performing Plays

On Monday 26th of August my class performed our plays. Something that worked was everyone knew their lines. A thing that didn’t worked was we weren't confident enough. I could do better if we knew our lines better clearer and it is like we are the person. The name of my play was called The Kings Parade and the people in my group were Matiu, Juliet, April, Owen, Ben, Sohel, Pj and myself. I felt sad because I had the shortest line but I knew if I was Humpty Dumpty I would ruin it so I let Sohel be Humpty Dumpty. I hope you like it please leave a comment.
