Titanic Research with May

Here is my research about the Titanic.
Questions:

  1. What were the dimensions of the Titanic?
  2. What was the biggest cause of the sinking of the Titanic? Explain...
  3. How many children on that boat died? *
  4. How many people went on a lifeboat each?
  5. Why did the captain decide to go through the Atlantic?
  6. Did people who sleep down by the engine survive?
  7. What was and is the price to go on the titanic?

Answers:
Question 1 information:
882’ 9” Feet long 92” Feet wide


Question 2 information:
The captain wanted to get to where ever they wanted to go quicker than they said they would so they speed up the titanic and went through the atlantic. The guard people were too slow to see the iceberg they hit it and the water was racing in the boat.


Question 3 information:
7% of children and woman died in the 1st class, 19% of children and woman died 2nd class and 53% of children and woman died 3rd class.


Question 4 information:
So if there were 1,900 passengers on the boat and about half of them survived (700) there would be about 40 people per lifeboat (20 lifeboats).


Question 5 information:
The captain wanted to go through the atlantic because he wanted to go where ever faster than he said he would and he wanted to be on the newspaper.


Question 6 information:
The people who slept by the engine still survived but most of them didn’t.


Question 7 information:
The titanic cost $40 for poor people (3rd class) and $6000 for rich people (1st class). Today it will cost $150 for (3rd class) and $9000 for rich (1st class).
